Finally, got to pull out the bike and ride, baby, ride! Weather has been touch and go with the storms, but we still have found the time to get out and ride. Before he left, Chris took her out on the street to ride her bike (with training wheels) and she took a turn too sharp and fell over. After that she was 'No way am I going back in the street'. I don't blame her, though. The roads are horrible. Broken, pebbly, and none of it is even. Not the best way to learn to ride. The sidewalks are just as bad. So, thankfully, there is a basketball court behind our neighborhood. Kinda weird. Just a single court all by itself nestled towards the woods. No parking close by, so if you want to use it, you have walk to it. During the day no one uses it, so it is perfect for someone needing space to learn how to. I think she is relying too much on the training wheels and sometime this week we will take them off. I know she isn't looking forward to it. She is so scared of falling. Who isn't, right. But I want her to face the fear and know that even when we fall we need to get back up and shake it off. I don't want that fear to take a hold and make her quit riding. I don't want to push her, either, if she isn't ready. She does love riding. I don't want to ruin that.
I can't wait til we can ride together. =)
