Happy Birthday Lilu!

Lilu's Birthday was August 6th. She turned a whopping two! I think her biggest present was having her daddy home. We celebrated it at Chris' parents' house. They live in Kansas City area so it was easier for everyone that it was celebrated there. My folks and brother drove up also. All the way from Arlington, Texas. So it was quite a party. Her first birthday consisted of Lilu and her parents. BORING! But we were in Germany and couldn't do much more. So I stayed up til 2:30am getting everything ready for the birthday morning. And to my surprise so did everyone else. Except for Lilu. We put down butcher paper on the table and Chris drew placemats for everyone and a Happy Birthday sign for Lilu. I put little bug stickers all over the table. That was the theme... Bugs. Cute ones not the gross ones. I made a mobile for her with dragonflies and butterflies. It came out so much better than I expected. We all had carrot cake for breakfast. Which everyone but my family thought was wierd. I always had cake for breakfast on any family members birthday. Is that wierd? Funny, I thought all families did that. So after breakfast we opened presents. Which she got a load of. Mainly Little People from Fisher Price. She just loved and some very needed fall and winter clothes. After the present opening we wanted her to have fun in the kiddee pool we got her. So got her into her swimsuit and had her fill up the pool. Which she loved doing. While she and daddy were playing in the pool we got the food ready for grilling. We all had so much fun. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Warm but with a cool breeze. After lunch, Lilu had a nice long nap. As did a few of us. Then clean up and on our way home. What a wonderful day. Coulnd't have asked for better. It was so great. Happy Birthday, Baby!
