Lessons Not Yet Learned

Today started off great. Waking up to distant thunder and gray skies made me want to just stay in bed. But no. I needed to get up and get ready for the gym. After working out we came straight home. Had to get the bills in order and get lunch going. Well, here is where the title comes in. I walk hand in hand with Lilu to the house. We have two steps that lead up to the porch. Lilu stayed on the path while I went to unlock the door. She has never wandered before so I wasn't that worried. Then I turn around and she is facing away from the house. Looking at the driveway. I call her in and she turns and looks at me. Smiles and RUNS down the driveway into the street. I am screaming at her to stop and running after her. When I get to her she is laughing. I popped her butt. I am not one for spanking but this is so dangerous. It scared me so badly. Yet she kept laughing. So I sent her to her room while I got lunch ready. After lunch we both took a nap and when she woke up I got her ready to go do errands with me. After the errands were run we came home and she again ran into the street. This time she hid behind another car!!!!! I spanked her again. I think it scared her. Because she didn't see me coming. But I still don't think a lesson was learned on her part. I learned my lesson. To physically carry her inside the house. Strap her down to something and then and only then get the bags out of the car. I am kidding of course. But I really don't know what to do on this. Ideas??

Okay you read up there that I did errands. Well, one of those errands was to go to Target. I absolutely love Target WAY to much. I could spend all day just roaming the aisles. I can always find some really good deals on Lilu's clothes. And they were having a CLEARANCE SALE. Two of my most favorite words. So about a month ago I put a limit to myself on how many times I go to Target in a month. I gave myself, Twice. I know, I know. You are thinking 'how are you going to handle it'? Well, it has been tough but so far doing okay. I realize that this is really silly. But when one finds a store that fits so well and it is right down the street, one must have will power to not go crazy. And the funny thing is that I am such a miser when it comes to money. Go figure.

Lilu and I just finished a wonderful girls night out. We went to Chili's. It's kinda boring for me. Just sitting there telling Lilu to take another bite. But I know she likes to get out and so do I. Hearing people talk and seeing couples sitting so sweetly just makes me miss Chris even more. If that is possible. All in all, we had a great time. Lilu flirted with so many people and she was so well behaved. Well, have laundry to do and it is my relax time.
